Comments Off

In September a van struck and injured two girls outside Bellevue High School. The two were rushed to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

There are special rules of the road that relate to pedestrians. For instance, there are “white cane laws” that give special protections to blind persons. There are also special rules related to school zones.

Pedestrians who are hit by by motorist are entitled to recover PIP (personal injury protection) benefits under the driver’s policy regardless whether the driver is at fault.
