A pedestrian was hit by a car in the 19500 block of International Boulevard at 2:20 p.m. Monday. When a pedestrian is struck by an automobile he or she is entitled to PIP benefits. Under PIP (Personal Injury Protection) there are benefits for medical treatment, lost wages and “essential services” (things the injured person could do for themselves, like mow the lawn, but cannot do because of their injuries).
