Harish Bharti’s client must pay $2.8 million to physician Dennis Momah after a Pierce County judge decided the woman — with Bharti’s help — fabricated claims that either Momah or his twin brother, Charles, sexually assaulted her during an exam.

Charles Momah was sent to prison last year for fondling and raping women who came into his South King County gynecology clinics. But his twin broth Dennis Momah, who is also a physician, has not been charged with any crime.

Seattle attorney Harish Bharti’s brought claims against Dr. Dennis Momah (the one who hadn’t been charged). The Pierce County Court reacted negatively. Very negatively. The Court ordered that Mr. Bharti’s client must pay $2.8 million to physician Dennis Momah.

Judge Katherine Stolz also ordered Bharti to pay an additional $300,000 in sanctions. And she is requiring Bharti to post her stinging 22-page ruling on his Web site.

It is important to be completely truthful with your attorney and the court. It is also important to retain experienced counsel who will make sure your case is presented in the most persuasive way possible. Asking for more than you deserve or bending the truth does not result in happy outcomes.
