On March 22, a bus carrying cruise ship tourists was returning from Lauca National Park in northern Chile when it plunged 300 feet down a ravine. Eleven people were killed, most of whom were American tourists. Three Americans, the Chilean bus driver and the tour guide were injured in the accident. The cause of the accident is unknown.
