Every year in the United States more than 1.5 million people experience a traumatic brain injury (TBI). All too often traumatic brain injuries are caused by those operating motor vehicles and who violate our community safety standards and needlessly endanger others.
Common causes of motor vehicle accidents include:
* Driving too fast;
* Texting or using a cellular phone;
* Following too close;
* Inattentiveness; and,
* Driving beyond one's skill level.
During the summer months road travel increases. Taking great care in driving on our public roadways is important and must be a priority.
Be safe!
