A hit-and-run driver caused a crash which closed Highway 2 in Snohomish last week. A victim of the crashed suffered serious personal injuries.
Troopers are looking for a car whose driver they said caused a pickup truck to roll over, closing Highway 2 in both directions at about noon on Wednesday.
The driver of a yellow car was tailgating other cars and weaving between lanes before the vehicle cut off a red pickup truck, causing the pickup to flip, troopers told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reporter Anna Velasquez.
The pickup’s driver was severely injured but is expected to survive, troopers said.
Victims of hit-and-run accidents can recover damages under their own insurance policy’s uninsured motorist (“UIM”) provisions. However, victims must report the hit-and-run to the police within 48 hours in order to recover these UIM benefits.
