Reckless driving and faulty cable barriers caused a multi-car accident on I-5 in Milton Sunday, leaving one person killed.
Police said witnesses told the Washington State Patrol the driver left the road, hit cable barriers, and crashed through a median into oncoming traffic, hitting three vehicles.
The driver of the Acura was pronounced dead at the scene. One other driver was transported to the hospital for neck pains.
State officials are investigating whether the cable barriers should have stopped the speeding car from entering the oncoming lanes of traffic.
Victims of this accident have a claim against the reckless driver. Victims may not also understand that they may also have claims against the state and the manufacturer of the cable barriers as well.
