A 45-year-old man was seriously injured in a two-car crash on Highway 302 in Purdy Tuesday night, a Washington State Patrol spokesman said. The westbound man was stopped to make a turn near Key Peninsula Highway when an eastbound car driven by a 16-year-old girl crossed the roadway’s center line and struck the man’s vehicle, said Trooper J.J. Gundermann. Medics took the man to Tacoma General Hospital.

Not only does the injured man have a claim against the 16 year old girl, he may also have a claim against the girl’s parents or other persons who entrusted the vehicle to her. If the girl and her parents lack adequate insurance coverage, he may also have a claim under his UIM policy.
