The Marysville School District has agreed to pay $800,000 to a boy who suffered serious injuries when he was hit by a school bus. The accident happened in 2005.
Even though $800,000 is a lot of money, the attorney representing the injured boy and his family filed what is known as a “tort claim form” demanding $25,000,000 from the School District. Accepting approximately three percent (3%) of what is demanded leads one to wonder whether an adequate settlement was achieved.
