The driver of an RV involved in a crash in Port Angeles died last week.
Lonnie Owens, 51, from Fair Grove, Mo., was taken to Harborview for critical injuries Tuesday after the brakes on his RV failed as he and his family were leaving Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park, fire officials said.
The crash resulted from a multiple-car accident concluding with the RV falling down a 25 foot gully.
Apparently, Mr. Owens attempted to slow the RV, but the brakes malfunctioned.
