A 16-year old in Eatonville was injured this morning when a bus ran over her while she was on her way to school. The student was crossing an intersection in the middle of town at approximately 8:00 a.m. when she fell down. While she was on the ground the bus ran over her legs and trapped her beneath it. Emergency personnel eventually extricated the teen and transported her to Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital in Tacoma where preliminary reports indicated that she suffered a broken leg. Police are investigating the incident.

The family of the injured student should contact a personal injury attorney as quickly as possible. Because their daughter is a minor she will have to be represented by a guardian for litigation purposes. There are multiple potential defendants including the bus driver, the bus company and the school district.
