Two people were pinned by a car in a downtown parking garage. The accident happened at the Medical Dental Building at 1629 Sixth Ave., where a parking attendant and a customer were hurt when a Lexus sedan suddenly barreled backward while exiting the garage and pinned them against a wall, Seattle police reported. One victim, a woman in her 50s, and the 21-year-old male parking attendant, suffered leg fractures. Both were taken to Harborview Medical Center.
The accident may have been the result of driver error. It may have also been caused by a defect in the car or inadequate repairs performed by the dealership. Serious accidents like this deserve serious and immediate investigation so that all causes are determined.
